How GeoEMS Works

Establishing a seismicity monitoring program with GeoEMS is an easy process:

We work with the operator to determine the station coverage that is needed and that meets regulator requirements.

We bring all of the GeoEMS monitoring equipment, pre-assembled and ready for install.

Some digging is required, ground penetration is typically less than 12 inches for monitoring equipment.

The GeoEMS monitoring station automatically sends data to our server using the cellular network, and GeoEMS sends out the collected data in a monthly report.

We use multiple stations, if available, to locate larger earthquakes, and issue special reports on events of interest, such as those reported by the U. S. Geological Survey.
